Enrolled the 1st or the 2nd of the Month

• If someone is effective the 1st or 2nd of the month, they are billed for the full month

oExample - effective Aug 2nd, billed for August

Enrolled the 3rd of the Month

• If someone is effective the 3rd of the month or later, we do not bill them until the 1st of the following month, but they do have access to benefits as of their effective date

oExample - effective Aug 8th, not billed until Sept 1st, covered as of Aug 8th

Terminated 1st or 2nd of the Month

• If someone is terminated the 1st or 2nd of the month, we do not charge them, or we credit them for that month, if the bill has already happened, coverage ends as of term date

oExample - termination effective Aug 2nd, we will not bill for August, or we will credit for August, coverage ends Aug 2nd

Terminated the 3rd of the Month

• If someone is terminated the 3rd of the month or later, we bill for the full month, but they lose access to coverage as of the term date

oExample - termination Aug 8th, we bill for August, but coverage end Aug 8th.
