New page

==Overview==
This article provides some information regarding how users are structured in ASW RF. That is, it describes the elements (mostly table records) that need to exist in order for a user to be functional in the ASW RF system. This looks specifically at the warehouse-only user - the type of user created by [[Information Systems: Adecco User Creation|this program]] for temp-agency staff.

==User Structure==
===IBM i user profile===
The IBM i user profile allows access to the system, even before any application access is factored in (e.g. ASW). The password is generated by the Infonet Adecco Users program in the format '''''aXXXXXXX''''', where X is a random number. The most significant property of the IBM i user profile for these types of users is the initial program: RFOSIGNON. The initial program is the first thing that is called upon login. Usually it's a program that presents main menu. This specially made startup program effectively prevents access to a desktop terminal session (restricted to login on RF only). This is done by enforcing a specfic screen size and (if screen is valid), routing the user directly into the '''Process R/F instructions''' menu in ASW RF. For users transitioning from temp to fulltime, or when their roles are expanded such that they need terminal access, this needs to be changed.

===ASW user profile and properties===
ASW user profiles are defined in SROUSP. Because there is no login process for ASW itself, presumably authentication piggy-backs off of the IBM i user profile (most likely just on the basis of matching usernames). The link between ASW user profiles and IBM i user profiles cannot really be called an integration: deleting one does not delete the other.

The following properties/fields in this table are noteworthy:

* Resource
* Handler
* Engineer

===Resource allocation===
One fundamental principle in ASW RF is that users are also locations/resources. For example, when an RF pick is performed, the item is transferred from the shelf location (e.g. RX-A100) to a resource location (99-JOHNDOE). The following tables are significant:

* Warehouse Location Definitions (WHOLOC)
* Warehouse Location Descriptions (WHOLCD)
* Warehouse Zone Restrictions (WHOZON)
* Resource Allocations (RFOCTLRS)
* Resource Zone Restrictions (RFOCTLRZ)
