New page

According to their website (www.imshealth.com), “IMS Health is the world’s leading information, services and technology company dedicated to making healthcare perform better.

“By applying cutting-edge analytics and proprietary application suites hosted on the IMS One intelligent cloud, the company connects more than 10 petabytes of complex healthcare data on diseases, treatments, costs and outcomes to enable our clients to run their operations more efficiently.

“Drawing on information from 100,000 suppliers, and on insights from more than 45+ billion healthcare transactions processed annually, IMS Health’s approximately 10,000 professionals drive results for over 5,000 healthcare clients globally.

“Customers include pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer health manufacturers and distributors, providers, payers, government agencies, policymakers, researchers and the financial community.”

On the first of every month, we send them a file of our sales for the previous month, and information on our customers, vendors, and items. About 2 million of the ‘45+ billion per year healthcare transactions processed annually’ are from us.

‘TSADUMPA’ (TSA is an acronym IMS uses for their transactions) is called by the end of month processing. It uses query to pull out the data, then consolidates everything into one file, which is FTP’ed to IMS.
We get the message “A single ' not permitted within a parameter enclosed by the same delimiter” because we have ‘ in the parameter, and the program puts a second set around it when it uses the server name. However, if it is not done this way, FTP doesn’t work.
