Steps
Configure basic printer settings
- Unbox, power on, and network the device.
- Access the web GUI, fill out device information (name, location, SNMP).
- Set static IP and other network settings (DNS, gateway etc.). Use an IP within the range for printers (check DNS server or do a network scan). Use Colosoft to scan the network for acceptable IP range. Confirm selection of IP address with nslookup. Leave Netmask and gateway unchanged.
- Give the device a hostname, using the convention (check DNS server for current printer names).
