uniPHARM is no longer using open-source on IBM i. InfoNext has been migrated to uwdoss (Linux).
Open-source software and development is usually community-driven, with a large dependency on online resources, and IBM i OSS (open-source on IBM i) is no different. This page lists useful resources.
- Ryver channel Ryver is a forum/chat platform. ibmioss is a channel on Ryver where many major players in the space are active. It is invite-only. norwinu is a member.
- YiPs wiki YiPs, or Young i Professionals, is a user group of professionals on the i platform that contribute to open-source-on-i projects. A lot of useful how-tos reside here, especially since IBM i does not really provide "official" documentation regarding open-source software, even for software released by IBM i themselves.
