There are 2 WatchDog devices in production as of April 2016. One is in the Server Room

and the other is installed inside the Cummins generator in the parking lot.

Both devices monitor for temperature and humidity but the device in the generator is actively monitoring whether or not the generator is running and producing electricity for the building. The WatchDog device in the Server Room is set to alert IT staff when the temperature of the room or the humidity of the room get too high - most likely due to an air conditioner failure.

Both WatchDog devices have a username and password for the configuration of the device. Credentials are not needed to simply view the device's web page

Both WatchDog devices were purchased from InterWorld Electronics in West Vancouver and both have 5 year warranties from the date of purchase. The server room device was purchased in the summer of 2015 and the generator device was purchased in April of 2016. Please note that the device inside the generator is powered by a POE Ethernet cable while the device in the server room is not.
