Graceful Power Down

  1. Go to the HMC in the server room
  2. login as eodjob
  3. password is unity
  4. type call eoxend press enter and wait 7 minutes
  5. type pwrdownsys press F4 and change 3600 to 60 press enter


Graceful Power Up

  1. Log onto HMC
  2. On the left side panel expand System Management
  3. Expand Servers
  4. Expand Power8
  5. Put a check mark next to BART in the main screen
  6. Pull down the Tasks menu and go to Operations
  7. Select Power On
  8. Watch numbers scrolling on the front panel of the Power8 – or wait 20 to 30 minutes
  9. Open Tasks menu again and start the shared green screen console
