Overview

The WorkBC Job Grant allows the participant to obtain a maximum grant amount of $10,000. The employer pays at least one-third of the training cost and the Grant pays for the other two-thirds in the form of reimbursement.

  • In order to create and submit Canada-BC Job Grant applications on behalf of uniPHARM, you will need to be authorized by uniPHARM to do so and you will require a Business BCeID.
  • The BCeID Business Profile Manager will be able to login at BCeID and issue additional Business BCeIDs for other authorized members.

Applying for Job Grant

  • Go to the WorkBC Login website: BC Job Grant
  • Enter BCeID Login and Password

  • Click the "stream" that the individual may apply for. There are Underrepresented Groups in the Workforce, Priority sector, and Unemployed streams to choose from.

Reimbursement

  • The Employer must submit a reimbursement claim no more than 30 days after the start of a training program. FAQ & General Criteria

Note: The immediate result of the training must be employment (from unemployment) or a Better Job. For the purpose of the CJG, a "Better Job" is when one of the following criteria is filled:

  • Increased job security, i.e. training will ensure participant can maintain employment;
  • Increased job-related skills;
  • Increase in pay;
  • Promotion/advancement to another position;
  • Move from part-time to full-time employment; or
  • Move from temporary/casual/seasonal employment to permanent employment.
