How-tos
Fix default mail app glitch
On a computer where the HCL Notes installation preceded the Outlook installation, some applications may continue to invoke Notes when using the "Send via email" function. This occurs even after all the file types, protocols, and default application have been changed in Windows -> Default Programs. 2 examples that can be used to test for or reproduce the problem are Microsoft Excel (File -> Share -> Email) and the old Snipping Tool (right-click on screenshot, then "Send To").
The fix is to delete the HCL Notes key (and all its subkeys) in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail.
