The projector for the Training Room was installed on a ceiling mount on November 27th, 2018. The projector is an Epson PowerLite 1286 and its serial number is X4JK8700298. The ceiling mount consists of 2 different parts that were also ordered from Epson. The first Epson mount part is ELPMBP04 which is a metal plate the hooks onto the drop ceiling frame. The metal plate is 8 inches by 24 inches so it splits apart 1 ceiling tile. Cutting out the 8x24 inch space in the ceiling tile can be done with a sharp knife. The metal plate comes with hardware to secure it to the metal rafters that are above the drop ceiling frame. The second Epson part is ELPMBPJG which is otherwise known as the universal mount. This part comes with a 3 inch metal column that screws into the drop ceiling plate. From the column, the mounting brackets can attach to the actual projector. It is very important to make sure the tilt bracket is forward facing to the projector screen. In the Training room, electrical power and a VGA cable already exist above the ceiling tiles, so they were re-purposed for this new projector. Handheld devices or guest laptops can connect to the projector over wifi because the projector has a DHCP reservation of 172.30.20.118. Its host name is TrainProjector.unipharm.local. There is a battery powered remote control that can access the projectors menu and its configuration. The projector remains ping-able on the network even when it is powered off and not displaying an image. The original shipping boxes for both the projector and the universal mount are stored in the IT Cage in the warehouse. The original box for the mount contains installation instructions and diagrams and the security alan key that allows the mount to be adjusted or moved or disassembled.
