Overview

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand a General Ledger Account, Group, Sub-group and Cost center
  • Understand a Combination Check
  • Understand Account Completion
  • Make adjustments into a supplier account and post to a General Ledger Account and Cost Center

Entering an Adjustment

  1. Select ASW Fastpath
  2. Select Cash Management
  3. Select A/P Cash Management Tasks
  4. Select A/P Invoicing Tasks
  5. Select Enter Financial Transactions
  6. Enter Voucher type 30
  7. Enter Batch amount
  8. Press Enter

  2. Enter Supplier number
  3. Enter Supplier invoice no
  4. Enter Supplier invoice dte
  5. Enter Transaction amount
  6. Enter Due date or Terms of payment
  7. Press Enter to confirm

  2. Enter Cost (Cost centre)
  3. Press Enter to confirm

General Ledger Account Parts

  • The G/L has a multidimensional account file which enables you to keep track of transactions on several levels
  • An account string consists of a main account code and up to five more account dimensions
  • Your main account part is mandatory, however, your other 4 dimensions may be optional

Account Completion

  • Account completion adds the group and sub-group into your account parts when the cost center is entered
  • The account completion function is especially useful when entering repetitive account code details

Combination Check

  • A combination check verifies if the Group, Sub-group and Cost centre are valid for the account entered
  • For example, account 600000 (POS Installations) is valid only for Cost 1420
  • Change Cost to 1420 and remove Group and Sub-group to have the system perform the account completion

  1. Select Transactions to settle adjustment (optional)
  2. Select Maintain item settlement to enter a different amount than transaction amount (optional)
  3. Select Selection to enter document #s
  4. Select Settlement different to apply differences OR
  5. Select Cancel settlement and F11
  6. Press F12 to re-display the entry panel
