Overview

Every morning a Customer Service Representative will receive a Controlled Narcotic Cycle Report in their mailbox. This report is completed by the QPIC in the narcotics cage. It details the daily sales of each item in this Class and confirms that the inventory of these items are balanced.

Narcotic Cycle Count Report

What do you do with the Narcotic Cycle Count Report in Customer Service?

  • If a Narcotic is not balanced the QPIC will call or email the dedicated Customer Service Rep responsible for receiving these reports and will let them know what store(s) to call and see if the error was made for the store.

Once the Customer Service Rep has confirmed where the error was made they will inform the QPIC what action needs to be taken.

  • If short shipped the QPIC will ship the item out.
  • If shipped in error or over shipped not charged the Customer Service Rep will determine if the store wants to keep the item or send the item back.

Due to the product being a narcotic

  • if the store is returning the product a Narcotic Authorization Form must be sent to the store.
  • If the store is keeping the item the QPIC must invoice the store. A Customer Service Rep must not invoice the store.

Once inventory is investigated, if needed, and balanced the reports are put into a storage box under the Customer Service Reps desk and once it is full it is moved the warehouse. At year end, the boxes are moved by the Manager, Distribution to another location and stored for 7 years.
