Configuring Lexmark Printers in DC
1. Set up the new Lexmark 521dn, assign the static IP address as mentioned in the wiki article, and network the device.
2. Make sure that it is also set up in the DNS and assign a host name.
3. Go to the user interface and make the following changes:
a) Device settings – under About this Printer, add the Asset tag, Printer Location and Contact
b) Device Settings – under Notifications, go to “E-mail Alerts Setup”
c) Network/Ports – under AirPrint
d) Network/Ports – under TCP/IP
4. Once the above steps are done, set up the printer on lucy1.unipharm.local. It is where the JetForm is installed. Make sure you follow the naming conventions as mentioned below.
5. When adding the printer in the print management, make sure that that location and comment are added, along with the correct port.
6. The next step is to set up the printer on the IBM i network
Using the command WRKDEVD, copy the device description using 3 and change the Remote Location – Name/address as per the host name and the description as well.
7. Then, vary on the device in “Work with Device Descriptions” and start the writer using
STRPRTWTR printername
8. Once this is done, set up the printer as an ASW printer
a) Log in to ASW.
b) Go to System Management -> System setup -> Printer control tasks -> Work with Jetform printers.
c) F6 to add, enter the device name as configured everywhere

Text: Default output queue for printer OTCINV02B
9. After that, set the device in JetForm -> remote into lucy1.unipharm.local and open JetForm under file -> management -> add a printer and then add the printer.
For OTC, Physical Device: OTCINV02B
Print Agent Options: -afp..\..\ASW\480B\forms
Comments and Printer ID: *
10. After that, add the printer in the RF Control table.
Start uniPHARM extensions -> VA Company -> Warehouse Menu (50) -> IT use only (80) -> Update Zone Printer Control (50) And change the Queues with the updated ones.
