Here's what to do when you're in charge of doing a recall.

Posting Product Recall Notices Online

  1. Recall notices are sent via the GMP Recall group. This will provide you with a trigger to go to the “GMP Recall Log” located on the Superserver.
  2. ONLY Type 1, Type 2, and Voluntary Withdrawal from the Market product recall notices are to be posted to the website.
      • DO NOT POST TYPE 3 NOTICES.
  1. Now that you are in the “GMP Recall Log”, select the sub-folder containing the original Excel recall notice(s).
  2. Open the Excel document(s).
  3. Click the “uniPHARM Recall Notice” tab on the bottom of the sheet.
  4. Click File > Save As > change the type to PDF.
  5. Delete the “Copy of” from the file name.
  6. Save document in the folder named “Converted Recall Notices for the uniPHARM Website”.
  7. Repeat the above steps for each product recall notice received

in the e-mail.

  1. Login to the Exware admin site for uniPHARM; http://www.unipharm.com/cgi/login.cgi.
  2. Click the “Documents” menu located on the content management row.
  3. On the pop-up screen, click the “Product Recalls”

located under shareholders.

  1. Click the “new document” menu located on the upper left side.
  2. Click the “Choose File” to upload the new document.
  3. Title and Description fields to be left blank.
  4. Upload the PDF product recall notice.
  5. Once uploaded, click the “publish” menu button located on the upper right corner on the “Product Recalls” pop-up screen.
  6. Click the “Close Window” on the ExSite Publisher pop-up screen.
  7. Repeats the steps for each product recall.
  8. Click the “e-Zines” menu located on the application row

of the CMS home page.

  1. On the “e-Zines” pop-up select “Shareholders” from the select website drop down menu.
  2. Click the “Product Recall Information” zine.
  3. Click the “New” menu button located on the upper top of the pop-up window.
  4. In the “New Article”, enter the following:

a. Author field: leave blank b. Title field: type in Recall: (description of the product and item #) c. If there are variations on the product such as sizes, strengths, etc., then do not include it in the main description. d. Subtitle field: leave blank e. Summary field: leave blank f. Article field, type: i. For more information on this (these) recall (recalls), please click the link below: ii. (bullet point) (then description of the product) iii. (add bullets for each variation of the product - various sizes, strengths, etc.)

  1. Highlight individual bullet point to hyperlink to PDF document.
  2. Click the “Insert/Edit Link” menu button (the chain link image).
  3. Change the “Type” to “Image/Document”.
  4. In the “Select Library” field, select “Product_Recalls”.
  5. In the “Select Image/Document” field, select the appropriate PDF file.
  6. Click the “Open this link in a new window”
  7. Click “Insert”.
  8. Continuing in the “New Article”, enter the following:

a. Footnotes: leave blank b. Name for URL: leave blank c. Sort Key: leave blank d. Picture: leave blank e. Caption: leave blank f. Status: change to active g. Owner: leave blank h. Site: should be “Shareholders (3)” i. Extra Images: leave blank

  1. Click the “Submit” button.
  2. Check the public site’s “Product Recall Information” section to ensure link(s) appear and work as configured.
  3. Logout of the Exware CMS.
