In a System Restricted State all user access and jobs have been ended. The only thing running is the batch job or HMS interactive job that called the command to initiate this. Both of these must be running in subsystem QCTL.

Application Restricted State is not as extreme as the System Restricted State, but allows no user jobs except the overnight jobs submitted by the job scheduler to run in sub system QCTL.

We use Average Cost to calculate inventory value, and accounting transactions. This is set in the DIS Control File, on menu DISAPPC. This cost is recalculated every time we receive an item on a purchase order.

(current on hand quantity * current average cost) +  (quantity received * unit cost of those goods)) 

divided by (current on hand quantity + quantity received)

UNITY (uniPharm’s new information technology) was the name of the project to completely replace the out dated and undependable technology used by uniPHARM, and to use technology to increase efficiency.
