Work with Cash Book Reconciliation
- Select ASW FastPath→Financial accounting→Reconciliation tasks→Cash Book tasks→Work with Cash book reconciliation
- Enter bank number
- Enter Dt (optional)
- Enter Doc date (optional)
- Enter Rscd (optional)
- Enter Transaction ref (optional)
- In the field Open you enter Y or N to switch between open and reconciled transactions
- Click enter
- Mark the transaction you want to reconcile and click Reconcile
Reconcile
- Change reconciled amount (optional)
- If you change the amount here 4 different situations apply:
- If both the fields Tolerance % and Tolerance amount are left blank in the Bank table, reconciliation with difference will not be allowed.
- If there is a value entered for field Tolerance % in the Bank table and if the value of the entered difference is less than or equal to the allowed tolerance value then reconciliation with difference will be allowed.
- If there is a value entered for field Tolerance amount in the Bank table and if the value of the entered difference is less than or equal to the allowed tolerance value then reconciliation with difference will be allowed.
- If the currency for the bank, defined in the Bank table, is not equal to the currency for the transaction, reconciliation with difference will not be allowed.
- Reconciliation date – today’s date will be defaulted, If you change the date it cannot be future date or a date earlier than the document date.
- Enter statement number (the statement number you entered here will be a default value for the subsequent reconciliation transaction until you enter a new. This filed is mandatory.
- Enter text (optional)
- Select confirm or press F10 to confirm the reconciliation.
- Continue working with reconciliation or press F12 to complete the reconciliation and update the General Ledger.
Exercise #1
- Create a general ledger cash book general ledger transaction.
- Create an Accounts Receivable manual cheque deposit.
- Reconcile the above transactions in work with Cash Book Reconciliation.
