Customer Service:Customer Returns-Return Authorization (Atlas)
Overview
Effective August 29, 2016, Metro Vancouver stores must obtain a Return Authorization number(RA#) from Customer Service to authorize the pick-up and return of all boxes to uniPHARM. This now includes cooler boxes and gel packs that may have been returned with no RA# previously.
Procedure
- The RA# must be clearly marked on the written waybill from Atlas.
- Envelopes that contain narcotic control signature forms or cheques that the stores send to uniPHARM via Atlas can continue to be sent without a RA#.
- The Atlas drivers have been instructed that if they pick up a box without a RA#, they will not be paid and uniPHARM will not accept any charges.
- Due to the cost of returns of boxes to uniPHARM from Atlas, we would kindly ask that all stores consider consolidating the return of cooler boxes and gel packs to 2 or 3 boxes at a time on one RA# or recycle and reuse these within their stores if able.
Directions to the Driver
1.ONLY take a return delivery back for uniPHARM if the store requests you to do so. DO NOT ask the store if they have any return deliveries. If the store has an order that is going back as a return delivery, they are to call uniPHARM and they will be given a RA#. The RA# must be written on the Atlas Courier waybill and must include:
- Store name and address
- Number of pieces
- Date and time of the pick up
- Shippers signature
- RA#
- When returning to uniPHARM, you must obtain the receivers signature and the date and time.
2.The following are codes that are to be entered in the reference box of the waybill when you have a return delivery:
- RA# ______ is the code for a shipment that the store has called uniPHARM for a return delivery.
- ENV (envelope) -- no RA# is required
- CBX (cooler box and/or gel packs) -- the store must have a minimum of 2 cooler boxes with or without gel packs before a RA# is released.
- PAP (paper and/or cardboard)
3.If there is more than one item being returned then the first item to be entered on the waybill is the RA#.
