How-to
Many users will have an extensive list of entries in their Contacts or Recent Contacts.
- For Recent Contacts, select the ones to migrate and move (drag) them into Contacts first.
- Choose More -> Export from within Contacts in Notes, then CSV as the output. Use the wizard to tailor your export.
- In Outlook: File -> Open -> Import/Export -> Import from CSV.
- Next is the mapping screen. 'The email fields between the 2 programs do not get auto-mapped, rendering the import/export useless if this is not configured manually (unless you want just the phone numbers/addresses/names, fields that do get auto-mapped. Therefore find and drag the Business Email field on the left to the field called Email address on the right to create this mapping. Create additional mappings through the same method (e.g. secondary or tertiary email fields).
- Make sure to allow duplicates, as this utility appears to crash if Replace duplicates is chosen.
- Ensure the destination is the Contacts folder for your work email/account (if you have multiple accounts configured). Also, it should go into the root Contacts folder (not the subfolders).
